Sittin' up!

Scott loves sitting up and of course standing up (meaning his feet resting on any surface so he can push off). Today I was inspired, by a friend's facebook picture of her little one in the bumbo chair, to try to let Scott sit up in his big boy seat! He loved it...at first! I got a few pictures and a few seconds of video before he decided it was way too much excitement and he would like to be picked up again please!

2 months...

Our handsome 2 month old!

And here is what Scott thinks of my cute blocks..."You are silly mom, I will kick over your master piece now...ha ha!"

I can't believe Scott is 2 months old! WOW! What a big guy he is becoming! At the doctor today he weighed in at 12 lbs 3 oz and measured at 24 inches! Holy cow big boy!
He is also starting to learn so many big boy things. He smiles now...on purpose not just because of toots! He loves going outside and looking at trees and dogs and hearing noises and trying to find the source! So much excitement in the world for the little guy! And we are still loving every minute of parenthood, we are so blessed with such a perfect little boy!

The munch...

Just a cute picture of my little munch! I just can't get enough! And Thanks Auntie Kay for the cute outfit : )

I scream, you scream...Parker screams...

My mom got these outfits for the boys before they were born. They are supposed to be chocolate and mint ice cream. The hats even have sprinkles and a cherry on top! Currently both boys are fitting in them so we had to get of shop of the ice cream boys together! I'm obsessed!

Typical Parker though can barely make it through a photo shoot without screaming his head off. Poor guy! But I guess its appropriate here...Parker screams for ice cream! : )

Trip up north...

Scott flirting with his Auntie Kel!

Last weekend we took our first big road trip (5 hours) with Scott. I had a seminar just outside of San Fransisco so we packed up Scott and the boys hung out in the hotel room while I sat in a seminar and snuck out every once in a while to feed. It was a crazy weekend, maybe we bit off a little more than we were ready to chew, but all in all in worked out and I am now Webster certified which is a big deal! We are also so lucky because Auntie Kelly was also attending the seminar and she was able to drive up with us. Thank goodness for her because she was there to take care of me when I was so exhausted and not feeling well and of course she kept Scott more than entertained in the car and hotel room! Thanks Auntie Kel, we love you!!!

Mr. Personality!

Scott's personality is definitely starting to come out! He spends much of his day now checking out the world and making fun expressions based on how he feels, or just based on the fact that he would like to try these new expressions! I have spent HOURS trying to capture these fun faces. It is harder than it looks...but today: SUCCESS! Especially capturing his smile! Scott's smile is my favorite thing ever!!!!

One month pictures...

Here are some of my favorites from Scott's one month photo shoot. Baby boy did awesome sitting through all the outfit changes and different poses, but modeling is definitely hard work and the poor munch was pooped by the end! The picture above is one of my absolute favorites and is currently the wallpaper on our computer! I can't get enough of this kid!

I think he looks just like Brian in this one! (minus the spit bubbles!!!)

A special thanks to great Aunt Charlotte for the train quilt! We brought it with us to snuggle with and to add some fun color to the pictures!

Scott and his Douglas...couldn't resist this one! Scott received Douglas as a gift from our family friends Judy and Vic. When you pull the tail he plays music and Scott is really into sounds (and lights) right now! We call him Douglas because on the tag it said: "Hi, I'm Douglas!"

Another favorite! I just want to bite his cheeks!!!

Mommy & Scott! Brian couldn't come to pictures but next round he will definitely have to come with us because I need a picture of my two boys together!

After pictures I had my six week check up! I am good to go! Donna (my midwife) cleared me to resume regular activities (good thing since I have already been running twice!). Scott and I busy day but he is getting pretty great at running errands...and he is the BEST company!

Mommy's office...

Scott comes to work with me now. He is always such a good boy at the office. He usually sleeps or sits quietly and people watches. All the patients love seeing him!
Yesterday Cousin Parker and Auntie Hilary came in for their adjustments. The boys got to sleep together in their car seats and then they both wanted to eat so we took them in the back room for a picnic!!!
I'm so lucky to work in such a great office where I can bring Scott. Everyone is helpful and patient with him. It is such a relief to be able to know he is with me and ok and that I don't have to be dropping him off somewhere strange while I work.

Mommy's first run...

Today I went for my first run since Scott was born. It was great! Scott loved going faster in the stroller and smiled almost the whole time (while he was awake, he slept for about half). In all fairness, I only actually ran about 1/3 of a mile or so, but it felt great to be active again!

Happy Easter!

Cutest bunny around!!!

The Campbell family headed out on our first road trip on Easter Sunday to visit family in Santa Barbara. Scott did amazingly well and slept most of the drive up and back. We had a great time hanging out with cousins and enjoying the great Santa Barbara weather. It was a great first Easter!

Loving our boys...

Hilary & I are loving being mothers to our boys! They have had a few play dates already where they mostly eat, sleep and get fussy together, but it is so nice for the mommies to get to hang out while the boys do their thing.

Last time Parker came over to play we decided we needed a cousins picture with Scott's big bear. Of course Scott just sprawled out and could have slept their for days if I let him. Parker was fine at first but about 30 seconds after this picture was taken he decided that taking a picture with a big bear was a stupid idea and he should be rescued from this torture asap! At least we got a few got shots of the boys before the fussing commenced!
Just think these socks are the funniest things ever!

Just learning new things.... A picture at Brian and Scott's first attempt at the bottle! Scott was able to work it but he wasn't the biggest fan! Guess we'll have to keep practicing.
