Spring means baseball

Baseball season might be one of my favorites because it usually means extra time with our friends.
Pretty thankful for the Fuji fam, Owen and Toben decorating cupcakes for someone's b-day, cutest besties.

His own style.

With 4 games and 2 practices per week between the boys we spent A LOT of time at the ball fields.

Can't forget Owen's kindergarten spring picnic, he was thrilled

Post game swims

And chess

And score keeping

And for the first time we went to little league day at Dodger stadium which was a blast

Don't know who had more fun, the boys or their dads...

Could have been the moms

Coach Roland reading baseball quotes is everything!

Easter

So per my last post, we spent all day Saturday at the beach, no kids, yes drinks.  Got home late.  Had just gotten home from a week away for spring break....so then it was time to prepare for Easter, that we were hosting tomorrow.  At least I had my girl friends to text late night pictures of easter prep with....

Happy Easter from the Campbells

We had grandma in town

And then we had over all the framily for food and festivities

This would be the "no candy if you don't smile for at least one good picture" picture

Mom tribe

Egg hunt.  Age order 6 year olds up first:

Enjoying their loot

Followed by a swim, cuz why not

It was the perfect way to spend birthday/Easter and end our spring break

Spring Break

Spring break.  Its always much needed.  Right around the time of the school year when things get so tedious! We are ready to get the heck outta town.

This year it was the Campbell California Camping road trip.

First stop Morro Bay with the Howells and the Goldenburgs.

Campfire cuties

We had a blast on our first half of the trip camping and exploring Morro Bay.

It was so beautiful, we will definitely be back!

Sea otter spotting

One of my favorite pictures of all time:

Morro Rock exploring

A little break for some art

One day we took a quick drive up the coast to see the elephant seals and of course stop for some brown butter cookie co.

Despite the great weather we had been having we were hit with some kind of crazy storm when we stopped for the elephant seals, down pour and freezing out of nowhere.

4 days later we said good bye to Morro Bay and hit the road again for the Sequoias.

From the beach to the woods

We had the entire campground to ourselves - it was pretty magical.

In the Sequoias we met up with the Daniels for more camping, hiking and fishing

The views were stunning

The kids were in heaven

Campfire cooking and friends can't be beat

Happiest campers

Down the hill for some (unsuccessful fishing)

We turned those frowns upside down with an ice cream stop though

And found the perfect spot in the river to hang out and play for the afternoon

Then the boys all got to ride home together (it might have been the highlight of the whole trip for my boys)

We were home from our adventures just in time for Easter weekend.

We were super busy, starting with a surprise early birthday date night of a pottery class at bitterroot pottery.

Best surprise and most fun date night ever!!!

The next day we had a kidless day at Manhattan beach to celebrate Aaron's 40th.

All early birthday festivities for my birthday twin and me because our April Fool's b-day fell on Easter this year!

Birthday twins.

Roomie love

Such a fun day of kid free beach fun with some of our oldest friends

Congratulatory hug for the dad to be - for his birthday he and his wife did their gender reveal for baby #2....its a girl!!!

Stopped for some sumo sushi and the birthday song on the way home.

36 starting out amazing!
