February means the beginning of birthday season.
But first a little succulent planting for a baby shower.
Up first Scott's backyard movie night party, Owen on decoration duty
Scott is not a cake kid so cookie ice cream sandwiches for the win!
The movie set up for The Force Awakens
And a fire pit for the parents and grandparents
Mama friends missing our boy Dom.
And a couple of days later - 8 official!
Birthday morning door streamers
And it just so happens that that same day Kindergarten was celebrating P week with a baby pig in class. Life long dream fulfilled. Now to just get Brian on board with having one as a pet!
Snacking before picking up the birthday boy - brining a tray of meat to pick up is totally normal right?
Celebrating our 8 year old over ice cream and wizard's chess. I know he was just born yesterday and still unclear on how he's already 8. There is so much I love about this boy that I can't even put into words. Still curious, loves history and facts and learning, sports are his love language, social butterfly (with a touch of FOMO), very serious but still manages to have a great sense of humor, best older brother ever - fiercely protective of Owen. Couldn't be prouder!
P week continues with a field trip to the post office and pizza parlor.
That same day Owen got to cash in his silent auction win of a movie date with his teacher. Ms. Tori deserves all the prizes, we love her!
We celebrated the end of basketball season with Scott's team
But that doesn't mean we stopped playing it ; )
Enjoyed some family hike days
And started baseball season.
First up Owen playing coach pitch for the Eugene Emeralds. CUTEST!
Don't mind these fools mowing some ribs pre baseball practice.
Next up Scotty with the cubs!
Cubbies mamas! LOVE!
Game one game ball - day made!
And we can't forget one of our favorite traditions, since he was in kindergarten Scott has brought his game ball to share with his favorite teacher. 3 years running. Love runs deep.
Spring swimming. Crazies.
More baseball
And turning 6 for this guy.
Owen wanted a water balloon fight party for his birthday which I said we'd do in the summer. HAHA! But the highlight for him is always the cake, which he usually decides on months in advance, this year: a sprinkle cake.
Make a wish!
So many things to say about my favorite 6 year old
He's definitely his own person, confident and stubborn, still cuddly, lover of all things food, adventurous and willing to try new things, and certainly knows what he wants (most of the time!). He keeps us all energized and laughing constantly, can't believe he completed our family 6 years ago - time flies. Love you O, with my whole heart!
