New Year

We rang in 2019 at the Langham in Pasadena so we could get up early early for the rose parade.  Scott and I attended years ago when Brian rode the farmers float, but Scott wasn't quite 2 at the time and I was pregnant with Owen so I really wanted to go again when they'd both remember.  This was the year.

We had a blast New Year's eve exploring the hotel, eating take out in our room and of course swimming.

Then we were up bright and early for the parade.  Some people weren't super thrilled about that.

Farmer's float

It was a super fun experience and I'm so happy the boys will now remember going.

After the new year we still had a full week off from school which we filled with beach trips and relaxing.

And then we decided the boys could sign up for flag football to play with their best buddies.

They had a great time and I think they got hooked.  Thankfully this is a very mellow rec league which is about the farthest I'm comfortable letting the boys take their football careers.

A smoothie date with Mimi and Owen:

Apollo still learning his walking skills.

More flag football

And of course we continued with basketball season, because why play one sport when you can play two.

Puppy love:

A January dip in the pool.  It was not warm.

A cousin hike:

Owen's class field trip to the gentle barn.  Hugging cows is good for the soul.

Super bowl!  The boys were so excited that the rams went to the super bowl this year.  Even more exciting was that their best friends got to go to the super bowl (their dad works for the rams).  And icing on the cake was that they face timed us from the field the day before and the day of the game.  The boys were in absolute heaven, they'll never forget that!

We had a rainy winter/spring which led to lots of muddy puppy. But he's so cute even when he's getting muddy.
