Thanksgiving Part I: Bryce Canyon

After a week of fires and cancelled school we headed off on our Thanksgiving road trip, thankful for the abundance of fresh air and a chance for some family adventures.

First stop: Bryce Canyon.

Bryce was always one of my favorites as a kid and I was so excited to share it with my own little family.

There is something so magical about arriving and the first look into the canyon.

We had a fun filled first half of the trip exploring the park and hiking EVERYTHING.

We really lucked out with weather, it was nice during the day but not too warm and cold in the evening.  Since we went during off season there weren't too many people on the trails either.

The boys were tremendous hikers, some days we did 8 + miles and they never complained.  Most of the time they were running ahead of us.

One of my highlights was, after hiking all day, getting to come back to the hotel and soaking in the jacuzzi.  Since we usually camp this isn't the norm for us so it was definitely a fun treat.

Caught a sunset at sunset point.

Hiked in and out of this canyon at least 6 times while we there, many times more than once in a day.

The last day we hiked the fairyland hike to tower bridge, it was such a neat and different part of the park.

Hiked to here:

Bryce was such a fun way to start our vacation.  Just the four of us.  Lots of hiking and adventures. My favorite thing!
