What have we been up to since Christmas? Well, NYE Brian had surgery on his wrist and had the nerve and tendons repaired, so HAPPY NEW YEAR! The surgery went great and Brian is recovering well. He is looking forward to his follow up appointment with the surgeon to get cleared for PT. Thank you to everyone who has checked up on him and helped us out and sent yummy food!!! We have felt so cared for!
Then last week we had the oleander in our backyard torn out. If you remember I had a crazy reaction to it, which is not uncommon because it is poisonous. Then I had been noticing that Scott's cheeks had been flushing out every time he played in the backyard. We had thought about doing it anyways to create more space so we just did it (ie had our gardener do it).

We are so excited to start working on our "clean slate". We miss the privacy it created but we have big plans to make it even better.
We have had lots of hang out time at home, a lot of which has included the tent!
My mom and I took all the boys to the new beach park by her house and had to stop for yogurt after!
Owen had his first experience riding in the trader joe's cart. He definitely felt like the big man on campus. I was sad and have since been keeping him in the ergo...I don't want the baby wearing stage to end. Plus with both boys in the cart there is not much room for groceries, and I'm not totally keen on Scott walking while I shop yet (he likes to wander).
Daddy goes back to work tomorrow which means back to routine for all of us. Scott is really looking forward to being back at school. His teacher mailed him a 'Happy New Year/Thank You' card with a picture of their class pet "bun bun" on it. Scott loved it so much he slept with it.
Grandpa, Devon and Nicole came to visit over New Years. Scott got a guitar lesson from his Uncle Devon.
Even though Daddy is down to one arm his is still able to play catch with Scott (Dad of the year!). I took pictures with my phone, from indoors because it was dang cold out so sorry for the quality.
Despite the cold we have been at the park most days. Owen can't get enough!
Today during nap I thought up a great game (well I didn't make it up, I just thought what a great game to play) that I thought would be quiet so Owen could sleep. Its amazing that even blowing a cotton ball at each other with straws still turns into the loudest game ever. When this was over we moved on to playdough.
Yesterday we got to visit with the Johnsons! We had a great time, the boys got to show off their park and the parents got some much needed and long over do hang out and catch up time! Thanks for coming up Johnson crew!
Scott loved getting pushed by Riley. Can't believe how fast they are all growing up.
The moms were there too...haha! Thanks for the great pics Leilani!
Well happy 2013 friends and fam! We are excited to see what the year has in store! I still can't get over the boys turning 1 and 3 this year (in a few short weeks actually).
